Die folgenden Tests beziehen sich nur auf das Zeitungsportal und sind zusätzlich zu den bereits in Frontend Testplan formulierten Tests auszuführen.

General:
Header: (DDBNEXT-3204)
- The header has a width of 100 %
- The header is sticky
- The logo is linked to the start page of the Zeitungsportal
- In the middle of the header is a search field (with the exception of the start page)
- Text in the search field: "Suche in historischen Zeitungen"
The button in the search field has a mouse over effect- A search leads to the search results page (objects must be ingested und indexed, first)

Above the header a grey element on top (Ein Portal der Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek) is linked to the home page of the DDB. The element is visible on all pages and disappears when scrolling down (DDBNEXT-3403)
Menü: (DDBNEXT-3205)
- The menu opens with a click on the menu icon
- Animation: The menu slides over the content from the right margin
- The menu has the same items as in the current DDB
All menu items are linked to the DDB sites not to Zeitungsportal sites- The person icon should be linked to the "Meine DDB" favorites page, if user logged-in. Otherwise the logg-in dialog is popped up.
Active menu items are blue (same colour as the arrow)- The menu closes with a click on the x-icon
- XS: Person icon is only visible in the menu
- XS: The menu must be scrollable
Footer: (DDBNEXT-3206)
- The footer has a width of 100 %
- The menu has the same items as in the current DDB
- All menu items are linked to the DDB sites not to Zeitungsportal sites
The DDB logo is linked the DDB start page- The social links are the same as in the DDB portal just with different icons
XS: In the viewer only the first two menu items are visible by default; further items can be faded in by clicking on "Mehr"; on other page types the menu items are arranged differently
Startpage: (DDBNEXT-3207)
- Available via url ".../newspaper" and via "ddb-dzp.de"
- On top we see the claim, a subtitle, a key visual and a search field
- There is no searchbar in the header of the startpage
- The content is centered horizontally like in the entire DDB Portal
A picture on the right and the title "Geschichte aus erster Hand"(there is no picture on the right, maybe in DDB)- The year figures in the subtitle should come from the search index so that the year of the oldest and the latest available newspaper issue are displayed
- Text in the search field: "Suche in historischen Zeitungen"

Three tiles: (DDBNEXT-3208)

- The element visualizes all available newspaper issues of the Zeitungsportal in a line diagram

- The user can select a certain year by moving the

"Heute vor 100 Jahren": (DDBNEXT-3210)
- The element depicts the cover of a newspaper issue published exactly 100 years ago
- If there are more than one newspaper issues published on this date the cover displayed is selected by chance
- If there are no newspaper issues published on this date the cover of the chronologically next newspaper issue is displayed
- With the blue buttons the user can browse through the different days, alway one day back resp. one day after
- When browsing through different days, the date and title of the selected newspaper is displayed.
- By clicking on "Anzeigen" button the user gets to the viewer page of the respective newspaper issue
- XS: The image should also be swipeable with the same function as the buttons
- Klicking "Nach oben"-Button (on the bottom on the right with mouse-over) leads to top of the page.
Select by title page: (DDBNEXT-3216)
- This page shows all newspapers available in the Zeitungsportal sorted alphabetically ascending
- For performance reasons only some newspapers should be loaded initially, more newspapers should be loaded if the user scrolls down

General filters
- On top we see three "tabs", the active "tab" is white and underlined; the other tabs are linked to the Select by place/by date page
- XS: The "tabs" are replaced by
a dropdownlinks - Below the "tabs" is a register and a search field
- Initially "Alle" is highlighted; if the user clicks on a character the list is filtered and the character is displayed on the left side
- The user can narrow down the list by entering characters into the search field; the list adapts immediately
Select by place page: (DDBNEXT-3217)
This page works similar to the "Select by title page", only that the list is sorted by the Verbreitungsort alphabetically ascending and within the Verbreitungsort by the newspaper alphabetically ascending.
If the newspaper has more than one Verbreitungsort it appears repeated in the list. (no example-object exists, yet. Please add link to it, if you find one)
The filters (register, search field) do not refer to the title but to the Verbreitungsort.
Select by date page: (DDBNEXT-3218)
General centuries page
- This page shows all years - arranged by centuries - with at least one newspaper issue in the century
- Years without any newspaper issue are greyed out
- Years with at least one newspaper issue are white and clickable; on mouse over the year background colour is blue
- If the user clicks on a year, e.g. 1834, he gets to the year page
- XS: Centuries are displayed only on demand
General year page
- This page shows all dates - arranged by months - with at least one newspaper issue
- Dates without any newspaper issue are greyed out
- Dates with at least one newspaper issue are white and clickable; on mouse over the date background colour is blue
- The active year is displayed on top as a removable filter
- If the user clicks on the filter he gets back to the centuries page
- If the user clicks on a date, e.g. 03.02., he gets to the list page
- XS: Different calendar design; users can browse through the months or go directly to a specific month; in the dropdown months without newspaper issues should be greyed out

- Only centuries are displayed with at least one year with issues
- Years without any issue are greyed out
- Years with at least one issue are white and clickable; on mouse over the year background colour is blue
- If the user clicks on a year, e.g. 1834, the block changes to the year view

- Here we see all dates - arranged by months - with issues of the active newspaper
- Dates without issues are greyed out
- Dates with at least one newspaper issue are white and clickable; on mouse over the date background colour is blue

Block "Vorgeschlagene Ausgaben dieser Zeitung"
- Here we see five randomly selected issues of the newspaper by thumbnail, "Ausgabe vom:" + date
and a "Zur Ausgabe"-button By clicking on the thumbnail or the button "Zur Ausgabe" the user goes to viewer page of the issue- ada: particular thumbnails are still linked with the viewer- XS: Responsive: Issues should be swipeable
Search results page: (DDBNEXT-3211)
Header:
- Above the bar is a "Suche speichern"-button. If it is pressed and the user is not logged in, a lightbox appears. If the user is logged in it leads to the personal area.
- Pagination: the same widget is used as in the entire DDB; only with different design (5 pages; "Zurück" is greyed out if there is no functionality, i.e. on page one)
- The selected page number is displayed in a blue border box
- Options for the Sortieren nach dropdown are:
- Relevanz (default)
- Neueste zuerst
- Älteste zuerst
- A bis Z
- Z bis A
- In the right "Ergebnisse pro Seite" and a dropdown are displayed. Changing the value per dropdown results in an immediate search

Hit list: (DDBNEXT-3212)
- Hits are displayed with thumbnail, title, date of the issue, a text snippet of the first hit in the issue, a fulltext-icon (optional) and a bookmark-icon.
- Thumbnail and title are linked to the viewer page of the newspaper issue
- On mouse over titles are unterlined
- Below the snippet we see a link "x Treffer in dieser Ausgabe" with further hits in the newspaper issue
- x is the number of hits in the issue
- On click a lightbox opens with all hits grouped by the pages they appear on
- The list is scrollable if necessary
- On click a hit the user gets directly to respective page of the viewer page of the newspaper issue
- On the right margin of every hit a bookmark icon is displayed
- On mouse over the icon is inverted; tooltip: Zu Favoriten hinzufügen
- For issues the user already has bookmarked also the inverted icon is used; tooltip: Als Favorit gespeichert
- [Logged in users] On click the icon a lightbox is displayed with the same functionality as in the entire DDB; only text and design are different
- [Not logged in users] On click the icon a lightbox opens with the following text: "Bitte loggen Sie sich in Ihrem Benutzerkonto ein, um Zeitungsausgaben zu Ihrer Favoritenliste hinzuzufügen. Wenn Sie noch kein Benutzerkonto haben, können sie sich hier registrieren."
- If full texts are available for the newspaper issue a full text icon is displayed besides the bookmark icon; tooltip: "Volltext verfügbar"

Active filters: (DDBNEXT-3215)
- An additional box "Aktive Filter" is displayed on top of the filter block if a filter is selected
The user can delete single filters or all filters by clicking on "Alle Filter löschen". A new search is started immediately XS: If the user has applied a filter and closes the filter block the text on top changes to "Aktive Filter anzeigen"
Zeitraumfilter: (DDBNEXT-3213)
- The line diagram shows the distribution of newspaper issues for the active search request
- With the dots on the left and right side the user can delimit the hits; minimum period users can delimit hits is one year
- The line diagram itself is not clickable
- The dropdowns also show the distribution of newspaper issues for the active search request
- The first line of dropdowns shows the date of the oldest matching newspaper issue; the second line the date of the newest matching newspaper issue
- Line diagram and dropdowns are always synchronized; if the user moves the dots the dropdown values change and vice versa. The synchronization happens immediately
- To apply the settings for the hit list, the user must click on "Anwenden"
- XS: The filter block is displayed only after clicking on "Ergebnisse filtern"
- XS: The line diagram is not displayed
Besides of the time filter there are four other filters with equal functionality: (DDBNEXT-3214)

- Initially up to four values for each filter are displayed
- The values are sorted descending by the number of matching issues for the respective values
- The values have a maximum lenghth of three lines; if they are longer an ellipsis is added
- If there are more than four values for a filter additionally a button "Alle anzeigen" is displayed
- If the user clicks on a value the value is added to "Aktive Filter", the icon changes to "-" (inverted blue) and a search is immediately triggered.
- By clicking on the value or the "-" icon of an active filter the filter is deleted (not in the XD-Prototype) and a search is immediately triggered.
General lightbox
- If the user clicks on the "Alle anzeigen" button a lightbox with all values of the filter opens
- Initially 10 values are displayed
- The values are sorted by the amount of hits for each item
The user can narrow down the list by entering characters into the search field; the list adapts immediatelySearch field currently not implemented- The user can browse through the list with the standard pagination widget
- If the user clicks on a value the lightbox closes, the value is added to "Aktive Filter", the value is displayed on top of the value list of the filter, the icon changes to "-"
In the same way the active filter is also displayed in the lightbox list (in case the user opens the lightbox again)- ada: after selecting an item from lightbox selected item is displayed in the filter area and no lightbox option is provided any more
Viewer page: (DDBNEXT-3245)
- The object page shows an issue of a newspaper
- The same header
and footer areis used as on all Zeitungsportal pages. A custom footer is used specifically for this page. - XS, SM: The left sidebar is initially folded
- An ns-disclaimer should be displayed for all ns-objects (at least all newspapers from 1939-1945)
