For compatibility with the LIDO harvesting format, the unique identifier for the record must appear in two places: First, the local identifier for the record is requested (<lido:recordID>). This is automatically generated in the database.
Second, a unique identifier for the record is required, which is valid across institutions (<lido:lidoRecID>). A combination of the ISIL and local record number should be used to ensure uniqueness beyond the institution.
